Autumn is just around the corner, and for makeup-loving elder emos like me, it offers the perfect opportunity to lean into my dark side.

Evidently, I’m not the only one who feels this way, given social media’s penchant for ‘grunge’ and other edgy beauty looks right now. My TikTok feed is full of viral baddies trying on their stash of deep plum and berry lipsticks in a bid to find the perfect ‘vampy’ shade – and I eat that stuff up. 

And the numbers back it up. Pinterest’s 2025 Autumn report has found that the people are craving deep berry lip shades, with searches for terms like ’90’s grunge makeup’ up by 210%, and ‘dark grunge makeup’ up by 123%.

So, in a bid to do my part for the lip-product-loving community, these are the berry-hued lip products I’m absolutely obsessed with right now.
